GaitWay Gardening to Her Success
From the ground UP
At GaitWay we teach our girls more than just horsemanship, we teach them an array of essential life skills, like entrepreneurship, teamwork, fiscal responsibility, planning, and time management … all of which they will get to experience this spring and summer as they build their GaitWay Garden business from the ground up (pun intended).
Their First Fundraiser
Devynn and her garden team’s first fundraiser this year will be selling seedling/start plant bundles for you to plant into your own gardens after the last frost. They’ll be offering a Basic Vegetable Garden Bundle, a Salsa Garden Bundle, and an Herb Garden Bundle.
What is a CSA?
Notes about a CSA. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The definition of a CSA is a community of individuals who pledge support to a farm operation so that the farmland becomes, either legally or spiritually, the community’s farm, with the growers and consumers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of agricultural growth.
Grow with Us
When you buy into GaitWay’s Seedling CSA via your donation, you are sharing the risk of growing with Devynn and her team. For example: if you purchase the salsa bundle and Devynn doesn’t get any of her tomatillo seeds to germinate and turn into seedlings, you will receive two less plants than the bundle states. There won’t be a refund for those plants, as she as the farmer used those funds to purchase the soil and the seeds.
***We want to be very clear that when you donate to the Seedling CSA, you are taking a risk that you may not get all the plants listed.
